Semax/Selank blend is a research-grade neuropeptide blend studied for combined cognitive, anxiolytic and neuroprotective effects. This 3 ml vial containing 10 mg total peptide presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of BDNF and GABAergic modulation in stress and cognition. This blend combines semax, an ACTH(4-10) analog that upregulates BDNF and TrkB, with selank, a tuftsin-derived anxiolytic peptide that modulates GABAergic and monoaminergic transmission. The rationale is complementary: semax targets plasticity and cognitive performance, while selank targets stress reactivity and anxiety.

Together they are studied for conditions where cognitive load and stress coexist. Direct studies of the combination are limited. The rationale draws on Dolotov and colleagues (Brain Research, 2006) for semax and BDNF, and Zozulia and colleagues (2008) for selank anxiolytic activity. Researchers should include single-peptide arms to separate the contributions. The blend is used to model stress-related cognitive impairment, anxiety, attention and neuroprotection. It is also a tool for asking whether combined BDNF and GABAergic modulation outperforms either peptide alone.

A 10 mg vial typically contains 5 mg semax and 5 mg selank, giving a 1:1 ratio. Reconstitute gently, because both peptides are short and sensitive to repeated freeze-thaw, and verify each component independently. The vial should remain frozen and protected from light until reconstitution. Use bacteriostatic water or the buffer recommended for the assay, add the diluent slowly against the vial wall, and let the powder dissolve without vigorous agitation. Aliquot immediately to avoid repeated freeze-thaw.

Key questions concern the optimal ratio, whether the combination alters the pharmacokinetics of either peptide, and whether the anxiolytic component blunts the cognitive effect or enhances it.
