Tesamorelin 20mg is a research-grade growth-hormone-releasing factor analog studied for visceral adiposity, GH/IGF-1 output and lipid metabolism. This 3 ml vial containing 20 mg presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of extended GHRH analog protocols. Tesamorelin is a stabilised GHRH analog that stimulates endogenous GH release and raises IGF-1. Its trans-3-hexenoyl group blocks rapid DPP-4 cleavage, extending its duration relative to native GHRH. The resulting GH pulses preferentially reduce visceral adipose tissue, an effect attributed to the high density of GH receptors in central fat.
Falutz and colleagues (New England Journal of Medicine, 2007) established the visceral-fat effect in HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Longer extension studies reported sustained reductions in visceral adipose tissue and improvements in triglycerides without major changes in subcutaneous fat. The 20 mg presentation supports longer protocols, multiple cohorts and imaging-based body-composition studies. Researchers also use it to examine hepatic fat, insulin sensitivity and cardiovascular markers. A larger vial reduces reconstitution frequency in multi-week studies.
Because GH and IGF-1 responses can attenuate with continuous exposure, protocols should use intermittent dosing and measure IGF-1 at defined intervals. Store the lyophilised powder at -20C, protect it from light, and reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or an appropriate laboratory buffer according to institutional protocols. Prepare aliquots before freezing and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which degrade peptide structure and reduce reproducibility. Open questions include the durability of visceral-fat reduction after treatment stops, the effect on glucose homeostasis, and whether the drug benefits patients without HIV-associated lipodystrophy.
This product is intended strictly for in-vitro and in-vivo laboratory research by qualified professionals. It is not approved for human consumption, clinical treatment or therapeutic use.
