BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a protective protein found in human gastric juice. It is one of the most extensively studied repair peptides in preclinical research, with reported activity at the gut mucosa, tendon, ligament, muscle and vascular endothelium. The proposed mechanism combines upregulation of VEGF and eNOS signalling, which supports angiogenesis, with increased growth-hormone receptor expression, fibroblast migration and downregulation of inflammatory cytokines at injury sites. Sikiric and colleagues (Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2011) reviewed a large body of rodent work on gastrointestinal ulcer healing, tendon transection, muscle crush injury and wound closure, and proposed that the peptide stabilises the gut barrier and accelerates connective-tissue remodelling.
This oral presentation supplies 100 tablets at 500mcg each, giving researchers a standardised enteral format for studies that require repeated dosing without injection. It is used to model ulcer healing, mucosal integrity, tendon repair, post-injury recovery and inflammation resolution. Store the tablets at room temperature, protect them from moisture and light, and follow institutional handling protocols. Common research questions concern oral bioavailability, the relative contribution of VEGF versus growth-hormone receptor signalling, and how oral tablets compare with reconstituted peptide in gut-focused models.
This product is intended strictly for laboratory research by qualified professionals. It is not approved for human consumption, clinical treatment or therapeutic use. The tablet format is particularly relevant to gut-focused research, because enteral delivery exposes the peptide to the gastric and intestinal lumen rather than the systemic circulation. Studies of tablet and capsule presentations typically measure mucosal healing, barrier permeability, stool inflammatory markers and histology, and they are often compared with parenteral BPC-157 to separate local from systemic effects. Because tablets are hygroscopic, keep the bottle tightly closed with the desiccant and avoid storing it in humid areas.
