Description

KPV 10mg is a research-grade anti-inflammatory tripeptide studied for mucosal inflammation, NF-kB signalling and immune-cell activation. This 3 ml vial containing 10 mg presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of melanocortin-mediated resolution of inflammation. KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, with the sequence Lys-Pro-Val. It is studied as a minimal melanocortin fragment that retains anti-inflammatory activity without the pigmentary effects of full-length alpha-MSH. KPV is reported to inhibit NF-kB activation, reduce pro-inflammatory cytokine production and promote regulatory immune responses, particularly at mucosal surfaces.

Melanocortin research by Catania and colleagues (TheScientificWorldJournal, 2010) described KPV and related fragments as endogenous anti-inflammatory mediators that act through melanocortin receptors and downstream NF-kB suppression. Gut-focused studies have reported reduced colitis severity and improved barrier function in rodent models. Researchers use KPV to model intestinal inflammation, wound healing, skin inflammation and immune tolerance. It is also studied as an adjunct to repair peptides such as BPC-157, where inflammation resolution may complement angiogenesis and matrix deposition.

The 10 mg vial is suited to repeated dosing in colitis and wound models, where KPV is often administered locally or systemically. Because the tripeptide is small and rapidly cleared, studies should report the route and dosing interval, and should measure both cytokine output and histological repair. Store the lyophilised powder at -20C, protect it from light, and reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or an appropriate laboratory buffer according to institutional protocols. Prepare aliquots before freezing and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which degrade peptide structure and reduce reproducibility.

Open questions include the relative contribution of melanocortin receptors versus direct NF-kB inhibition, the stability of KPV in gastric fluid, and whether local delivery outperforms systemic administration in mucosal models. This product is intended strictly for in-vitro and in-vivo laboratory research by qualified professionals. It is not approved for human consumption, clinical treatment or therapeutic use.
