BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide studied for gut mucosal repair, tendon and ligament healing, wound closure and control of local inflammation. Research suggests that it supports angiogenesis through VEGF and eNOS, promotes fibroblast and endothelial cell migration, and reduces inflammatory signalling at injury sites, which may explain its broad activity across gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal and dermal models. Sikiric and colleagues (Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2011) reviewed rodent ulcer, tendon and muscle-injury models, and the peptide is also used in colitis and gut-barrier studies. The 5mg presentation is suited to pilot experiments, concentration-response curves and studies where a smaller total quantity is sufficient.
Researchers use it to model mucosal integrity, connective-tissue repair, wound closure and post-injury recovery. Store the lyophilized powder at -20C, protect it from light, and reconstitute with bacteriostatic water according to institutional protocols. Common research questions concern the minimum effective concentration in gut versus tendon models, the stability of reconstituted solution, and whether oral or systemic delivery produces different repair profiles. This product is intended strictly for laboratory research by qualified professionals. It is not approved for human consumption, clinical treatment or therapeutic use.
Five milligrams is well suited to concentration-response experiments, pilot injury models and in-vitro work where the peptide is added to culture medium. A common design is to run low, middle and high concentrations in parallel with a vehicle control, because BPC-157 effects in cell culture can be modest and model-dependent. Reconstitute freshly, keep the solution cold and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles that reduce activity.
