SS31 50MG | Mitochondrial Antioxidant Peptide

SS31 50mg is a research-grade mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide studied for mitochondrial oxidative stress, cristae stability and ischaemia-reperfusion injury. This 3 ml vial containing 50 mg presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of cardiolipin-binding mitochondrial protection. SS31 (elamipretide) is a tetrapeptide with alternating aromatic and basic residues that concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It binds cardiolipin, stabilises cristae architecture and improves electron-transport efficiency, reducing reactive oxygen species production.

Its uptake is driven by the mitochondrial membrane potential, which allows it to accumulate specifically in metabolically active tissue.
