Retatrutide 10mg is a research-grade GIP/GLP-1/glucagon receptor triagonist studied for appetite control, gastric emptying, energy expenditure and weight loss. This 3 ml vial containing 10 mg presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of triple incretin and glucagon receptor activation. Retatrutide is a single peptide engineered to activate the GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors. GIP and GLP-1 signalling reduce appetite and slow gastric emptying, while glucagon-receptor activation increases energy expenditure and hepatic lipid oxidation.
The triple action is studied because adding glucagon activity may improve fat loss beyond what incretin agonism alone achieves. Jastreboff and colleagues (New England Journal of Medicine, 2023) reported phase 2 results in adults with obesity: retatrutide produced substantial, dose-dependent weight reduction over 48 weeks, with gastrointestinal adverse effects typical of incretin-based therapy. The TRIUMPH phase 3 programme is ongoing. Researchers use retatrutide to model triple-receptor pharmacology, energy expenditure, hepatic steatosis and body-composition change.
It is also a comparator for dual agonists such as tirzepatide and for glucagon-focused metabolic compounds. The 10 mg vial is suited to receptor-activation assays and rodent dose-response work. Because glucagon-receptor activation can raise hepatic glucose output, studies should measure fasting glucose, liver lipids and energy expenditure alongside body weight. For long-term storage, keep the lyophilised vial desiccated at -20C and allow it to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to prevent condensation. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, mix gently, and avoid vortexing or repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Key questions concern the optimal balance of GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon activity, the mechanism of the observed heart-rate effect, and whether triple agonism preserves lean mass during weight loss. This product is intended strictly for in-vitro and in-vivo laboratory research by qualified professionals. It is not approved for human consumption, clinical treatment or therapeutic use.
