Retatrutide 15mg is a research-grade GIP/GLP-1/glucagon receptor triagonist studied for weight loss, insulin sensitivity, hepatic fat and energy expenditure. This 3 ml vial containing 15 mg presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of intermediate-dose triple agonist pharmacology. Retatrutide activates GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors in a single molecule. Incretin signalling suppresses appetite and slows gastric emptying, while glucagon signalling increases thermogenesis and fat oxidation. The 15 mg presentation is used for intermediate dose-response studies that bridge low-dose tolerability work and higher-dose efficacy models.
In the phase 2 trial reported by Jastreboff and colleagues (New England Journal of Medicine, 2023), retatrutide produced weight reductions that increased across dose groups, with the highest doses approaching 24% at 48 weeks. Gastrointestinal events were the most common reason for discontinuation. Researchers use this presentation to examine dose-dependent effects on body composition, liver fat, glucose tolerance and cardiovascular parameters. It is also useful for comparing triple agonism with tirzepatide at matched incretin activity.
The 15 mg vial supports multiple time points and intermediate concentrations without repeated reconstitution. Because the peptide is long-acting, washout periods in crossover designs should be long enough to avoid carry-over effects. Handle the powder at -20C, protected from moisture and light. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or a suitable buffer, filter if the protocol requires sterility, and store working aliquots at 2-8C for short-term use. Document the diluent, concentration and preparation date. Questions include whether the dose-response for weight loss plateaus before that for gastrointestinal tolerability, how glucagon activity affects lean mass, and whether triagonism changes the risk of gallbladder or pancreatic events.
Sold for laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
