Description

SLU-PP-332 500mcg is a research-grade estrogen-related receptor agonist studied for exercise-mimetic metabolism, fatty-acid oxidation and mitochondrial biogenesis. This 3 ml vial containing 500 mcg presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of ERR-dependent skeletal-muscle and hepatic energy metabolism. SLU-PP-332 is a small-molecule agonist of the estrogen-related receptors ERR-alpha, ERR-beta and ERR-gamma, not a peptide. ERRs regulate genes involved in mitochondrial biogenesis, fatty-acid oxidation and oxidative phosphorylation.

Activating them pharmacologically produces a transcriptional signature that overlaps with endurance exercise, which is why SLU-PP-332 is described as an exercise mimetic. Billon and colleagues (Nature Communications, 2024) reported that SLU-PP-332 increased exercise capacity, reduced adiposity and improved insulin sensitivity in diet-induced obese mice, with effects on skeletal-muscle oxidative fibres and hepatic lipid metabolism. The study did not require increased food intake to produce weight loss. Researchers use SLU-PP-332 to model exercise adaptation, mitochondrial dysfunction, obesity and metabolic syndrome.

It is also a comparator for MOTS-C, NAD+ and AMPK activators. The 500 mcg presentation is suited to cell-culture and pilot rodent studies where low nanomolar to micromolar exposure is targeted. Because it is a small molecule, dissolve it in DMSO and dilute into aqueous vehicle; do not attempt peptide-style reconstitution. For long-term storage, keep the lyophilised vial desiccated at -20C and allow it to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to prevent condensation. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, mix gently, and avoid vortexing or repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Questions include the relative contribution of each ERR isoform, whether the compound affects cardiac and skeletal muscle differently, and how its metabolic effects compare with actual exercise training. This product is intended strictly for in-vitro and in-vivo laboratory research by qualified professionals. It is not approved for human consumption, clinical treatment or therapeutic use.
