SLU-PP-332 5mg is a research-grade estrogen-related receptor agonist studied for mitochondrial biogenesis, fatty-acid oxidation, endurance and weight loss. This 3 ml vial containing 5 mg presentation is intended for laboratory investigation of higher-mass ERR pharmacology. SLU-PP-332 activates ERR-alpha, ERR-beta and ERR-gamma, nuclear receptors that control mitochondrial and oxidative-metabolism gene programmes. The resulting increase in oxidative capacity and fatty-acid oxidation is studied as a pharmacological mimic of endurance training.
It is a small molecule and is not related to peptides. Billon and colleagues (Nature Communications, 2024) showed that SLU-PP-332 improved exercise endurance and reduced body fat in obese mice while increasing oxidative muscle fibres. Follow-up work has explored its effects on heart failure and hepatic steatosis. The 5 mg presentation supports chronic dosing studies, multiple cohorts and tissue-specific analyses. Researchers measure endurance capacity, mitochondrial respiration, fibre typing and lipid handling.
Because the compound is lipophilic, prepare a DMSO stock and dilute it immediately before use; precipitation can occur at higher aqueous concentrations. Include vehicle controls and measure plasma exposure, since small-molecule pharmacokinetics vary widely between species. Handle the powder at -20C, protected from moisture and light. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or a suitable buffer, filter if the protocol requires sterility, and store working aliquots at 2-8C for short-term use.
Document the diluent, concentration and preparation date. Key questions concern isoform selectivity, the risk of cardiac hypertrophy with chronic ERR activation, and whether the compound improves human-relevant metabolic endpoints beyond weight loss. Sold for laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
